Lose the Euro[12/05/2011 11:18 PM]
Tag: The Euro, Curope, Brussels, democratically elected.
So, as I understand it, all the conties using the Euro have to give up their Sovereignty to Brussels to ensure it's survival! This means that ultimately Brussels will be responsible for each country's taxes, public spending, defence, pensions, education and so on.And, forgive me if I'm wrong, but the MEP's in Brussels are not democratically elected. How can this be? Surely this has to be stopped. They need to ditch the Euro NOW! it obviously doesn't work. Our Grandads would turn in their

I had to say a few words about the great Gary Speed. Or as a friend said, the answer to most football questions. The former Leeds, Everton, Newcastle and Bolton star, former Welsh captain, (current) Welsh manager and most capped Welsh player, was found hanged at his home in an apparent suicide. Gary was talented, good looking, in the prime of his life, had a lovely family and was loved and respected by everybody that knew, or thought they knew him So, his suicide is truly unbelievable an

Whatever happened to this Post Halloween, Pre Christmas celebration?London in the eighties was a hot bed of fun and frolics on the Third Thursday of November. The more adventurous among us would travel to the French regions of Beaujolais and Lyons to grab the new wine and rush back to the UK. Who would be first, how quickly could they do it. Dinner parties were ablaze with the gossip of these trips. The more party orientated people stayed and reaped the benefits at home. It wasn't unusual to

So the X-factor lite finally kicked off and it was sick!I thought the judges really gelled together and they seemed genuinely interested in the talent.Gary Barlow IS the head judge, he knows what he's talking about and he isn't afraid to tell anybody.Kelly is kookie, I like her.Tuslisa? seems ok, jury is out on her. She stood her own with that nastly little yob though. And on the subject of him, I remember him from the fist audition with his 'band' and they were saying that they wanted

BB on channel 5 wasn't terrible. Of course the 'celebs' are virtually unknown! However they are characters and I can still trouble brewing. To date, 'JEdward' seem really sweet,, they seem very insular and it will be interesting to see if they make any individual relationships. Kerry, Tara and Paddy seem half pissed most of the time, and I apologise if there is a reason for this, if there isn't...OMG!I'm pretty sure the model will go on Friday, he's pretty, but not pretty enough to waste the ene

So, we all came through ok, but what a sad a week for this city and this country. But should we be surprised, when we know there are children killed daily and old and vulnerable people traumatised. There is sadly a section of this society that is being ignored and consequently is slowly taking over our streets. They don't work, and don't seem to even consider it. They have barely any education, no manners and it seems no morals.I don't have any answers but we all should surely be asking more quest

Golden Rules for Painting[05/02/2011 7:32 PM]
Tag: Painting, Decorating, Plastering
Buy the best tools and equipment you can afford, especially paint brushes. Buy good quality paint and materials. Buying cheap paint is often a false economy as many more coats are usually required. Follow the manufacturers instructions on tins and other materials. don't always interpret too literally as there is usually a degree of flexibility, especially in diluting paints. The most IMPORTANT rule of all. Preparation; filling, sanding down, sealing surfaces, burning off, stripping walls o
