Not only does teleonomy evince in naturalists that He has no intent, His very nature also does that! Theologians, except for two, claim that He has no body, which means then that as He'd have no brain, then He has no mind and thus can neither act nor think, hardly a way to have that divine intent!
How then might people have a solid relationship with a mindless putative being? Why that would be the one with an imaginary friend!
Theologians, use the it may be or it must be of guesswork rather than evidence in finding His attributes. Some use the fact of unrequited evil to make Him limited God rather than omni-God. Where is the evidence for maintaining that He has the "given,' something analogous to our faulty faculties that makes us so fallible. Yes, that's that guesswork, wrongly using the fact of evil. Yes, the evil does show that He cannot be omni-max as that would evince in people that He has contradictory attributes, but still those few theologians provide no evidence at all that He even exists.Without evidence, evil as portraying His limit, still cannot affirm His very existence.
Timothy Keller and John Hick claim that clues rather than proofs lead to our knowing that He does exist; Hick claims that He wants us to have that relationship with Him of our own free will. Were the clues not ambiguous, they would overwhelm our free will.
I'm glad that my parents didn't take that view! They fathomed that love did not wrongly overwhelming my free will but made that will do what it ought to do! Again, the theological view - Hick's epistemic distance argument- is a it may be or it must be!
As noted, science finds no intent behind natural causes so that no divine purpose exists for us. Supernaturalists use the non sequitur that thus we have no purpose to live. Hardly.
Our own purposes and meanings count. Our one life and human love count. To wail that we need Him for our validation-purpose, divine love and the future state bespeaks the need to read Albert Ellis's " The Myth of Self-Esteem" and Robert Price's " The Reason-Driven Life."
Theologians just cannot fathom that reality blocks their clues to work in actuality but only in people's minds.
